17:00 Good evening everyone. I am here in the Old Trafford stadium looking to a half empty stadium, but some fans are still moving in with some still outside the gates. This is a countdown towards the Barclays Premier league match between Manchester United and Southampton (kick-off time 18:00).
17:20 Teenager Adnan Januzaj has been big news after he signed a new 5 year deal at Manchester United. This was after some bigger European teams tried to get his signature, but only falling in the hands of the red devils.

17:35 I still wonder whether the young talisman Januzaj will be named in David Moyes first team today, since he impressed in the last game played against Sunderland scoring two goals. Let’s wait and find out if he will be counted amongst the eleven Man United team.
17:40 United fans expressed hope that it will be an easy walk over when the match fixtures came out. But so far the league has not been as they expect and now considering that Southampton has the second best defensive in Europe and has won four games from seven pose as a big challenge to the Red’s.

17:58 The atmosphere today in the stadium is so great. Here comes the players and United will be playing from the West Stand.
18:00 (Kick-off). The game is now underway with Southampton taking the Centre ball.
18:05 Both the teams started positively well with United winger Januzaj rudely cast off to the advertising boards off the ground. Southampton seems to be looking after this young man’s moves.
18:09 Rooney just send out a marvelous pass through to Nani, who, was running from the wing, who tried to swing over across defenders and cross the ball which was cleared by a header.
18:14 Rodriguez heads towards United and managed to escape narrowly through Rafael Man United left back but the ball was high and went over the bar.

18:16 Saints fans booed Van Persie, who almost scored a magnificent goal, giving back the ball to Nani who also tries a first-time lob that became wide bouncing back in goalkeepers hands.
18:18 Sir Alex Ferguson whose book is coming out next week is also part of the fans here watching together with David Gill.
18:20 The referee has received a round of applause by the Saints fans after awarding them a free-kick for a foul committed by Patrice Evra on Adam Lallana. The Saints are persisting high up the pitch, moving well up front searching for a goal and their back is solid enough to hold the Red’s.
18:22 Manchester forward gunmen Wayne Rooney seem to be very prepared and in the mood today as he is all over the field like an excited puppy. The match is putting pressure on managers who cannot seat on their hot seats as they are both patrolling on the touchline giving one or two instructions, making the game tenser.
18:25 Wayne Rooney give Van Persie a blind curly pass and he pass through Boruc, but was signaled offside. The ball went straight in the legs of Rooney who lose it to Lallana who feeds it to Dani Osvaldo just tried his luck shot only to be pounced off by De Gea.
18:26 Manchester United Scored 1-0 Southampton. United gunmen Van Persie scored the leading goal for the Red’s after Rooney missed the first chance when he tried to chip the ball ahead Boruc, only for Van Persie to round the goalie and score. This is wonderful.

19:29 Rooney almost doubled the score after he miss the ball which went through crossbar, but Nani’s shot went wide as he tried to maintain the momentum that have gathered.
19:32 Manchester United has so far played the game like the champions and the fans start to sing for the champions. Rafael receives a curly through pass from Januzaj but the young defender missed it.
19:34 With 13 minutes to half time Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin ignites the team spirit again as he pass Januzaj through a leg over.
19:39 Mike Jones the referee give a break after Jones and Osvaldo collide in the air and Osvaldo land with wrong side. The players are taking advantage of Osvlado’s injury by rushing towards touchline taking turns to drink water.
19:41 United teenager Januzaj has been playing well the first half. The player has gained confidence after scoring two goals against Sunderland and signing a new 5 year contract giving him more years to prove his skills and talent.
19:46 As the match was about to be get on half time Van Persie made a terrible and dangerous mistake as he takes down Victor Wenyama close to the eighteen area box. The Saints are awarded a free-kick but to no avail it hits the wall and the referee blows the whistle to end the first half.

20:26 Welcome back to the second half of the game with Manchester United leading 1-0 against Southampton. It seems the United are well prepared for the game and good to go.
20:30 United defense is so solid and combative that the Saints are failing to get it through it despite their great attacking attempts. Fellani just get a warning yellow card from referee Jones after his bad nasty attempt tackle.
20:36 The young Januzaj dribbled the ball after chasing it from Nathaniel Clyne, but I personally think he won the ball fairly. From the look of things the game has just changed as Nani has been brought down in a fair challenge while running towards the goal post by Luke Shaw.
20:40 Wenyama received a yellow card after he trick Januzaj. United is given a free-kick just after that foul and Rooney scored the second goal after receiving the pass from van Persie, but the Man United gunmen is offside. Bad luck but this was an impressive effort from United gunmen.

20:44 The second half is filled with more intense pressure coming from Southampton who are trying to equalize the game before the referee ends the game.
20:47 Manchester new front machine van Persie is scrambling for a goal in the eighteen areas only to miss the header hitting the bar. The Portuguese footballer Nani follow with a strong shot giving Boruc a challenge.

20:47 Nani has just been substituted for Giggs. This can be Moyes tactics towards the Saints.
20:50 Manchester midfield just changed with Danny Welbeck’s entry who took the left wing, Giggs in the Middle and Januzaj now the far right wing.

20:54 Southamton has decide to make a change by putting in Guly Do Prado in place of Wanyama who has been exceptionally playing well in the game. United centre-back is warming on the touchline.
20:57 This is Saints greatest chance but Clyne who was on right position failed to impress his hopeless fans after his long range shot was deflected away by De Gea.

21:03 Rafael tried to get a penalty kick after falling in box but the referee said keep on playing.
